the south. Also, keeping the plot near trees will help to shelter it as well, but you don’t want them to be totally blocked from
the sun. Also, make sure that your plot has plenty of drainage as well, which can be done by adding sand or compost to the
plot.

planting your winter flowers.
Tip #1 – Plenty of Space is Needed – When you are planting winter flowers, it is important that you leave plenty
of space in between them. They need more space because there must be enough room for the air and water to circulate well;
otherwise you may have mildew or fungus problems.
Tip #2 – Start Planting in the Fall – More than likely you are going to want to start planting your winter garden
flowers in the fall of the year. This will give them plenty of time to get going before the snow sets in.
Tip #3 – Arrange Tall and Short Flowers – Remember that you want flowers facing the south, and if you have taller
shrubs or flowers that you are going to plant, make sure that they are on the northern end of your plot and that the sorter
flowers are on the southern end. This way the larger plants will not block the sun from the smaller ones.
Many people find that they actually enjoy taking the time to garden in the winter months. You don’t have to
worry about bothersome bugs or heat that is simply unbearable. You will be able to enjoy the coolness of the outdoors having a
great time in your garden. So, as you can see, there are a variety of great winter garden flowers that you can plant in your
garden to make sure it looks bright and cheery all year long.
